The study sought to determine the impact of the Extended Students Grant-in-aid Program for Poverty Alleviation on the parent beneficiaries of Peñablanca Cagayan. This study is qualitative and descriptive in nature. There were ten respondents in this study consisting of four females (4) and one male 1 participant who are beneficiaries of the Students Grants in aid Program for Poverty Alleviation. The researchers utilized open-ended questions in a structured one-on-one interview in gathering the narrative statements of participants. Moreover, the obtained data were analyzed using Colaizzi’s method consisting of a systematic procedure to come up with the findings. The study found that the program has a good and bad impact on the quality of life of the beneficiaries. The bad impact of the program is due to lack of information and late issuance of allowance resulting to conflict within the family particularly in their dept to sustain the educational needs of their children. Aside from those other beneficiaries who have other source of income have positive experiential definition and have experience efficient scholarship management hence the program is still stimulating specially to the families without any source of income but wants to send their children to school. Furthermore, the coping strategies and optimism of the beneficiaries are also identified as one significant factor in improving the socio-economic of the household. The underlying support of the parents complemented by the perseverance of the students is found to have a favorable effect on the motivation to pursue dreams. These problems should be addressed to improve the experience of the recipients and improve its implementation.
