Abstract

Many parents readily desire the greatest education possible for their children. This involves the parent’s duty to protect and advance their child’s welfare, growth, and health in the latter’s best interests. Parents are free to state their preferences for the school they would like their kids to attend. They are able to impart personal expertise to their kids and foster more healthy rivalry between schools and pupils than a school district would. This research utilizes a purposive research design since the research questions is focusing on the factor’s influencing the parent’s decision making. A purposive research design, quantitative data collected from large samples but without the rigor of a formal experiment. Traditional purposive approaches and techniques are presented, including existing data, observation and communication. The respondents of the study were the parents whose children are enrolled in International School of Asia and the Pacific. The researchers purposely selected parent’s and interviewed a total number of ten (10) females’ parents via face to face and messenger. The purpose of this study was to examine the factors that influence the way parents make decisions in choosing International School of Asia and the Pacific for their children. These factors are presented starting from the most influential. In detail, the purpose of this study is to obtain answers to the questions: (1) What are the factors that affect the parent’s decision in choosing their children’s educational institution? (2) How do this chosen educational institution affect their children (3) In general how the respondents assess ISAP This study uses qualitative descriptive research which is intended to describe the factors that influence parent’s decision making in choosing ISAP for their children. The researchers drafted a letter addressed to the Vice President of Academic Affairs of International School of Asia and the Pacific. As a request for permission to carry out this study, After the approval, the researchers looked for the parents with two or three children enrolled in International School of Asia and the Pacific. The researchers purposely select 10 parents and started to conduct an interview via face to face and via messenger.  Then, the data gathered will be tabulated, and the results were to be thoroughly interpreted. The researchers will use printed guide questions to gather the data and use descriptive research design. The respondents' collected data was examined using descriptive strategy Colaizzi's seven procedures were employed by the researcher to analyze the information gathered through a survey or interview. The majority of parents who were polled about their views on parental involvement in decision-making stated that the institution treats every person equally. These results suggest that parents' decisional requirements were instantly satisfied, which is consistent with literature evaluations on parental engagement in decisions concerning their children's institutions that explicitly looked at parents' desire for high-quality information. Good quality information can be gathered through shared decision-making so that parents can make educated decisions on their child's behalf.
